Mom’s flight out of Boston tonight was cancelled.  But things should be getting better.  Channel 10 just said we will continue to have an active February.  They are showing Sunday as sunny and 38.  Weather.com says mostly sunny and 44. 10% chance of precip.  Channel 3 shows 41 for Sunday, which is the median number!

5… 5…. 5… 5…

February 9, 2010

staying alive, staying alive

42 degrees an sunny, 0% precip is the forecast for Sunday, still no storms after this next one passes through tonight and tomorrow…

the TV says the coldest Valentine’s Day in Virginia Beach was 3 degrees in 1899

The Countdown Continues

February 8, 2010

If you didn’t already notice, Chriso has been stalking the local weather station to try and determine what the weather will be like for our big day.  Which is 6 days away.  Only six.

My list of things to do is NOT getting any shorter, and the number of things that have changed is almost crazy.

The final menu is set.  My dress is paid for, and getting altered as we speak.  Chriso and I picked out rings, which I will pick up on Thursday.  I’m still talking to a bakery about a cake.  And a JP about the ceremony.  But now that the menu is set, I’m definitely feeling much calmer.

But still.

Miles to go.

And I can’t wait to see everyone  who comes to visit.

It’s going to be a good time.

Lucky 7

February 7, 2010

Next week, at this time, it is the big day!! At one point, the seven day forecast said that there might be snow but now the forecast is improving, partly cloudy with 10% precip. and 41 degrees.  I guess the moral of the story is, don’t believe in long range forecasts.  But the good news is, it is looking good.
